Vacasa works with real estate agents, housekeepers, and maintenance professionals throughout vacation destinations in Oregon – Sunriver, Black Butte Ranch, Bend, Hood River, Mt Hood, and the entire Oregon coast.  Vacasa also offers advertising and reservation management service to vacation rental owners outside of this primary area.

A Unique Model

Most vacation rental companies are focused on a single location.  At Vacasa, we focus on a wide variety of vacation destinations throughout Oregon.  This is highly advantageous for vacation rental owners.  To understand why, consider the other options. 

 

One option is to go with a large local firm in the location of your home.  In some cases, the larger size of this business means that they have a larger web presence and can invest in things like sophisticated marketing campaigns.  Unfortunately, you are also sharing all of their leads with the other properties they manage in your locale.  You are in competition with the other properties in your area, and outside of peak periods there is typically more supply than demand.  How do you expect to compete if you are using the same manager?

At Vacasa, we will ensure that your property is seen by potential guests.  We don’t just list your property on our website and wait for traffic to come in.  Instead, we invest in your property by advertising it through a wide range of channels, and we advertise your property directly to potential guests that have historically vacationed in your area.

 

A Competitive Management Fee

At Vacasa, our commission rate for full service management is 25%.  If you shop around, you will find that this rate is extremely competitive.  Also, this rate is all-inclusive – we never charge extra for things like advertising and supplies. 

 

Our Guarantee

We are confident that you will earn more from your rental with Vacasa.  In fact, if you provide your rental records from the past year, we will guarantee that you will earn more with Vacasa managing your home.  If you do not, we will refund the difference, up to the full amount of our management fee.
 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I’ve never rented my home before.  Is that a problem?
A: Not at all.  We will take care of the details and get you started.  We will create a plan for your property, prepare your home, secure permits on your behalf, and start marketing your property. 

 

Q: I’m currently managing the home rent-by-owner.  Why should I switch?
A: At Vacasa, ensuring that your home is optimally managed is our full time job.  We can make your life easier while helping you earn more.  Also, our guarantee ensures that you have nothing to lose.  If we are unable to help you earn more from your vacation home, we will refund the difference, up to our entire management fee.  It’s that simple.

 

Q: I’m currently with another property manager.  How can I make the switch?
A: We will honor (and waive our management fee on) reservations transferred over from your current management company.  We will then market your property to fill the gaps between those reservations.

 

Q: How do you handle emergency maintenance issues?
A: We are on call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Our staff and network of maintenance providers can take care of most minor issues.  If an outside service is needed, we will hire a reputable and cost effective service to get the job done.

 

Q: How much does it cost to get started?
A: We do not charge any startup costs.  We only earn a commission when we rent your property.

Eric
Owner & Property Manager

As an owner of several properties, Eric started Vacasa as he saw a need for vacation rental management options that delivered strong results at a lower cost.  Prior to Vacasa Rentals, Eric was Cofounder & President of Oregon Green Solutions, a 33 employee contracting company that specializes in cost effective energy efficiency improvements.  Earlier in his career Eric was a marketing expert for the credit card industry, and he now uses those skills to ensure that our properties are effectively marketed.

 

Cliff
General Counsel/Business Development Manager
Cliff is the General Counsel and Business Development Manager for Vacasa. In this position, Cliff serves as a legal adviser to the company and collaborates with Vacasa's management to develop business ideas and ensure compliance with complex local regulations.   Prior to working with Vacasa, Cliff was engaged in the private practice of law, with a primary focus on tax law.  Cliff received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where he received the ACC Northeast Professional Responsibility Award for his commitment to serving indigent clients through the Boston University Civil Litigation Program.

 

Nick
Operations Manager
Nick previously served as the Director of Operations and then the President of Ecommerce for Manufacturers Resource Network, Inc (MRN).  Nick began his career by founding EnableMart while an undergraduate student at University of Portland.  As CEO of EnableMart, Nick grew the company into the leading distributor of assistive technology products in the United States, and guided it to a successful acquisition by MRN.  Nick has always enjoyed the travel and real estate industries and has 10 years of real estate investment and property management experience.  Nick is currently taking a sabbatical to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration at the University of Oxford.
