This welcoming Brockway Lakeview Cabin is perched on a hillside above Kings Beach. The open and airy retreat boasts excellent views of the Lake. A rustically romantic ambience and tasteful furnishings will make you feel instantly at home. This cabin offers the best of historic Tahoe charm and is located just yards west of the California-Nevada border on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. This area, known as historic Brockway, has been a resort destination since the 19th century.
Nestled between Kings Beach to the west and Crystal Bay, NV to the east, the cabin is within easy reach of conveniences such as grocery stores, restaurants, casinos, movie theater, mini golf, laundromat, and carwash, to name a few.
A variety of activities are easily accessible: located in the building behind this cabin is a private skin care office, offering facials, products, and more at TahoeSkinCare.com serving by appointment only. 1/2 Mile (or) 10 minute walk for most to The Sanctuary Building where they offer acupuncture, massage and pilates. Directly adjacent to the Crystal Bay, Cal/Neva, Biltmore & Nugget Casinos where they also offer dinning, comedy and live music.
Seasonal recreation venues such as driving range, golf, and miniature golf for some old fashioned family fun are just 1 mile away. Kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, biking, sunbathing, sand volleyball, and watersports rentals can be found right at Kings Beach State Beach 1 mile from the cabin. Live music events on the beach are in Tahoe City and Kings Beach in the summer, as well as Truckee Amphitheater and the ski areas.
Several top ski areas are closeby: Northstar is just 8 miles, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows are 18 miles away, Mt. Rose is just 14 miles away, and Diamond Peak is 8 miles away.
The cabin's great room is sun-filled space with exposed-beam ceilings, a rock-faced gas fireplace, and leather seating perfect for curling up with a good book. Screen a DVD from our collection on the television, or simply relax with a glass of wine as you admire the view of the blue waters of Lake Tahoe through the expansive windows. The adjacent kitchen is great for simple vacation meals, and the patio has a charcoal barbecue.
The queen bedroom has a sliding glass door leading onto the spacious front deck, providing a wonderful view of the Lake and mountains. The full bathroom includes a charming claw-foot tub with shower. Up the ladder in the loft is a full-size sleeping mat for extra guests, and the leather chairs in the living room convert to twin-sized sleepers.
The Reno/Tahoe Airport is a one-hour drive through the beautiful Sierras. Please note that four-wheel drive and/or chains may be required in the winter, and there is only one parking spot.
The gravel parking place is on the street at the property where guests are welcomed to park. The Driveway is short and steep and may be somewhat challenging in the winter.
