The main level features a spacious living room with gorgeous views of the Pacific from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom. The living room features a large flat screen HDTV with DirecTV premium channels. There is also a Meade 8X25mm telescope which enhances your views of the ocean and the surrounding terrain. You may even catch a whale or two!
The kitchen features ample counter space and all of the modern amenities necessary to make any meal a delight. There is a dishwasher and a trash compactor for easy clean up. There are two seperate dining areas with seating for 4. The master bedroom features a walk in closet and a large bathroom with a jetted tub and a seperate shower. There is a Magnavox 32 HD TV with DirecTV in the bedroom as well. There is a half bathroom just off the living room for convenience as well. The pellet fireplace is not recommended for guest use as it is a manual ignition stove and should only be used by adults who are famaliar with manual ignition pellet stoves. | My wife and I had a rough time leaving this place. The views are great from almost anywhere in the house. You feel like you're high in an ivory tower, looking down over the town and the ocean. Our only real complaint, which was totally beyond Vacasa's control, was that the next door neighbor was clearing his lot for 3 days and kicking up dirt with two bobcats and a dumptruck. Since we were out sightseeing most of the day, it hardly ruined our stay. We truly enjoyed staying at this house, and we definitely plan on returning. | We booked this place primarily due to the photos, which highlighted its view and modern furnishings and amentities (huge flat HD tv, for instance). It lived up to our expectations and provided a wonderful getaway for the two of us (this property cannot accommodate more than two, unless parents want to bring along a very small child or two). The king sized bed was comfortable, but the comforter's material was not very pleasant. The bathroom was great for two; we did not use the hot tub bath. No instructions to hold down the flusher when flushing, which turned out to be necessary. The living room has not one single light by which to read in the evenings -- in fact, there isn't even an overhead light in the living room! The white carpeting and upholstery made me nervous about taking wine in the living room, and the super-high dining table was an awkward place to hang out at. | We had a wonderful time during our stay in Rockaway. The view of the ocean is fantastic! For those of us who are less mechanically/technically inclined, it would be helpful to have instructions on how to work the earth stove and telescope please. | Amazing place for a weekend getaway. Huge windows overlooking the beach (including from the king size bed), high vaulted ceilings, fun kitchen to cook in. Just as a note, however, the light bulb in the shower was out and the kitchen wasn't stocked with essential ingredients (olive oil, etc.), though there was salt, pepper, coffee filters. | Was very excited when I read that there was a Meade telescope available for use. However there was no power cord, controller, or instructions for the telescope. This part was very disappointing as my girlfriend and I were really looking forward to using it and couldn't see anything through it! Hot water ran out very fast! A few burnt out light bulbs and a large clock that did not work, poor water pressure throughout the home. A very firm bed. Parental control on the TV was annoying with no code to change it. A security camera in the night stand, gave a feeling of hidden cameras, strange... Overall, had a great time, and did not want to leave. | ||||
