This bright and sunny three bedroom getaway sits right on the beautiful Nestucca River and is less than a mile from the sandy shoreline in Pacific City! Launch your canoe right from the backyard and spend your morning floating along the river before whiling away the afternoon on the beach. In the evening, take a long stroll along the sand up to the award winning Pelican Pub and Brewery for a pint of fresh beer and a laid-back dinner. Or, simply grab a good book and a seat on your private waterfront deck for some true R&R!
The two-level vacation home offers plenty of room for your whole family or group of friends to spread out and enjoy their Oregon Coast getaway. The cozy living area faces the river, with wide picture windows and sliding glass doors looking out to the deck and the water beyond. On rainy days, you'll love to light a fire in the pellet stove, put a good movie on the cable flat-screen TV, and curl up on the cozy sofas. Opposite the living area, a spacious kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need to prepare meals, including two refrigerators to hold all your fresh-caught fish and crabs! The six-person dining table overlooks the river, with a few extra seats at the breakfast bar. Or, step out onto the deck for a barbecue on the gas grill, and dine in the sunshine at the patio set.
The bedrooms have been thoughtfully furnished to allow for flexible sleeping arrangements for groups traveling together. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a twin, with a full bathroom with a shower and tub nearby. Upstairs, a second bedroom has a queen bed and a twin, while the third has a queen bed and a twin-over-full bunk bed. There is even an additional television set in this bedroom, so the kids can kick back with their movie while the adults enjoy a bit of peace and quiet downstairs by the fire! The second bathroom is upstairs, with a tub and shower as well, and the house has a washer/dryer to keep up with those wet bathing suits and hiking gear.
This house makes for a fun-loving getaway, and you'll find plenty of extras to keep your family entertained indoors and out. Our shelves are well-stocked with games, movies, and toys for the kids, and rainy days are no problem with a ping pong table and foosball in the basement! While we don't have Internet access at the house, our neighborhood coffee shop has a great connection right down the street, and there's a small market just a few doors down for those last-minute grocery items. On days when you don't feel like making lunch but don't want to walk all the way into downtown Pacific City, there's a nearby laid-back sports pub that serves up burgers and cold beers.
