This gorgeous modern beach house offers ocean views from nearly every room! Watch for whales as you sip your morning coffee on the spacious deck, or take in a spectacular sunset in the evening over a glass of wine. This one bedroom getaway with a jetted tub makes for a perfect romantic getaway or a peaceful solo retreat.
This one-level home feels even larger than it is, thanks to vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with the beautiful Twin Rocks off to the south. The main room is open and bright, with comfortable sofas arranged before a flat-screen HDTV with DirecTV for movie nights, and an impressive stone fireplace with pellet stove (with its manual ignition, the pellet stove is not recommended for guest use, but still adds to the ambiance of the house).
The kitchen is adjacent to the living area, so the cooking enthusiast can enjoy the ocean views (or the television) as they prepare meals. The well-stocked kitchen has plentiful counter space and updated appliances, including a dishwasher for easy cleanup. The house offers two separate dining areas, both suitable for four people. A half bath is located off the great room.
The master suite also overlooks the ocean, and has a luxurious king bed with attached bath. A jetted tub is the ideal spot to unwind after day of hiking, boating, kite flying, or antiquing. The bedroom also has another television set with DirecTV.
The house also offers wireless Internet and a washer and dryer, making it ideal for longer stays that require staying connected to the "real world". Located on a bluff overlooking Rockaway Beach, many guests find driving down to the beach an easier option than walking back up the hill to the house, but it is very close -- less than a mile away. Rockaway Beach's quaint selection of shops and restaurants is within easy reach, but the immediate neighborhood is peaceful and quiet.
