With hardwood floors, a modern white stone fireplace topped by a flat-screen television, and a beautiful leather sectional sofa, the living area is a large and inviting space with plenty of room for everyone to gather for a game night or movie screening. The spacious and fully-stocked kitchen has picture windows looking over the front yard, making it a bright and pleasant place to prepare meals. Enjoy them at the casual breakfast nook or around the six-person dining table; the charming old-fashioned grocery store is just a short walk from the front door.
Two bedrooms have queen beds and one has a full, offering more private accommodations for couples vacationing together. The "bunk room" will be a big hit with kids, having six beds and its own bathroom, plus a separate entrance. A second full bathroom and a washer and dryer complete the house, making it comfortable and perfectly suited for bigger groups while still cozy enough for a small family vacation.
Although the house is in the middle of town, it feels very secluded on its private hillside lot. Roast s'mores around the backyard fire pit or take turns flipping burgers on the charcoal grill. When you don't feel like cooking, take a stroll to one of Gearhart's lovely restaurants, such as the excellent Pacific Way Cafe (two blocks away) and McMenamins Sand Trap pub (just over a mile). For more options, drive five minutes south to Seaside's touristy business district with a plethora of seafood shacks and pizza parlors; Cannon Beach, just ten minutes south, offers some of the coast's best restaurants and boutiques.
The beautiful sandy beach is a very pleasant half-mile walk, past Gearhart's charming downtown shops and along a sandy pedestrian pathway. Or, take advantage of the chance to drive along the sand on nearby Del Ray Beach.
