Gleneden Beach is a resort community in the truest sense; visitors flock to the town's highly regarded Salishan resort, with its four-star spa and lush 18-hole golf course. Depending on the season, visitors can take a guided kayak tour of the serene Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge or embark on a boat tour from Depoe Bay, the Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast. Half an hour away, Newport's renowned aquarium showcases all sorts of specimens (both local and exotic) found under the sea.
